We might like to think that workplace harassment, bullying, intimidation is a thing of the past.
Or that legislation means that perpetrators get deterred or discovered.
Or that it’s just the young or naive who are targeted.
It’s easier to disbelieve than to get involved.
But if someone knows – or even suspects that downward focus behaviour’s happening and yet does nothing about it, they don’t do nothing. The bystander makes the matter worse.
For those on the receiving end it’s a double whammy.
