I spent last weekend in Oxford, speaking, chairing, listening and learning at the excellent “Creative Engagements: thinking with children” conference. There was a lovely crowd of people from all over the world…but kept small enough in number to allow us to get to know one another, to share valuable work…and delicious food!
Congratulations to the organisers for a well-run event and efficient format…for being very stern about lengths of presentation, allowing no ‘death by Powerpoint’, and including leisurely breaks for networking. These things made all the difference.
And it all made up for being inside for the few sunny days of summer!
