In organisational behaviourist Margaret Wheatley’s new book, So Far From Home, she talks of warriorship that stems from the Tibetan Shambhala tradition…
You cannot tell who these warriors are by their appearance; they look like normal people doing regular jobs. They are, however, extremely well armed. Their “weapons” are powerful: compassion and insight.
Wheatley argues that those who understand the systems of power, who accept that these systems cannot be reversed or rescued, can choose a new role; no longer expecting or hoping that their work will change the world, they instead transform their frustration and exhaustion into these weapons:
To serve this dark time as warriors for the human spirit
Are you a warrior?
